There seems to be quite a few of us in London/Herts and Home Counties, we should take over the comfy chairs at a Nero's armed with chess sets and meet up! I know this sound idealistic but is anyone up 4 it?

So whats happend to this idea,it seems quite good to me, if members wish to meet up(in a pub) maybe we could help to resolve some of the issues already under discussion.what do you think Andy? There could be some good feedback.

It's a good idea, but only if quite a lot would turn up, say 10+.

Everyone is dotted all over the country. How far would people be willing to travel? I don't really fancy driving anything over an hour personally. Say 50 miles.

Another site I use had a social in London last year on a Saturday at a chess pub was a sort of drop in day with a meal in the evening (optional) was a great fun and nice to meet players from the site, plus transport links to the capital are doable for most?

It's all gone quiet out there, I'm willing to tavel up to 50miles to meet other members, n.e.w.
and s.,but not in London, I see we have some members in Essex, and I'm sure thier must be
members in adjacient counties. I'll wait for a response.
